Steve Lane, CFP®, brings a tested investment perspective to the team. Steve expanded his critical reasoning skills through the MBA program at The University of Kansas. Focusing on investments, valuation, and finance, Steve learned from skilled veterans and benefited from the applied portfolio management (APM) course. He subsequently dedicated two years toward completing the College for Financial Planning's Certified Financial Planner course and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, or CFP® certification. Steve prioritizes bringing the comprehensive approach instilled in the Certified Financial Planner program to the advising process. This background, together with more than a decade of professional investment management and advising experience, results in TPG clients' receiving a comprehensive and tested perspective.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He enjoys staying physically active and mixes in a wide range of activities. He consistently takes the stairs to TPG's sixth-floor office. When not at work, he finds kayaking, hiking, or mountain biking to be relaxing. Steve enjoys reading daily across a wide array of subjects, including business and biography; he also appreciates current economic and scientific journals. Three books at the stop of Steve's list include: Good to Great, The Millionaire Next Door, and E-Myth Revisited.
Another interesting quality of Steve's is that you might find him helping other entrepreneurs "behind the scenes." From an early age he has welcomed the opportunity to support both clients and friends in "starting up" or buying businesses by evaluating concepts and business plans for the probability of success accross a wide array of factors.
